Class Descriptions
Sunday Open Sew - $65/2-months or $20session.
Open Sew is an opportunity to come and join a group of other sewing enthusiasts in our classroom for some sew-time. Bring your machine and any projects that interest you and make use of our spacious classroom space and accomodations to have some fun sewing. Join for two months at a time or pay as you go. Open Sew is open to all sewing enthusiasts 18 or over.
Sundays 10am-2pm, First Sunday of the month 10-4 (potluck Sunday)
Teen Sew Tuesdays - $75/month*.![]()
First 4 Tuesday evenings of the month September-JuneOpen to all students (10 years and up). This is an unstructured, supervised sewing experience. Pre-selected projects are available or students can work with the instructor to select a project of their own choosing. Teens bring their sewing machines (discount machines available for purchase with any Teen Sew registration) and supplies then work with the teacher to enhance their sewing skills while sharing their passion for sewing with other teens.
Tuesdays 6:30-8pm
2010 Bali Beautiful Block of the Month- $35 registration, $5/kit/mo
Jan 2010-Dec 2010 come learn a bit about quilting as you pick-up your blocks each month and work on this wonderful quilt made of beautiful bali batiks and bali inspired fabrics. Two colorways to choose from, Autumn and Spring.
2nd Saturday of the Month, 9:15am
Free Motion Sewing on SILK- $65 includes tuition & Kit fabrics
Free motion sewing can take time but the results are worth the effort. Diane Loomis returns to show you some great techinques for sewing on silk fabrics. Silk is beautiful but slippery, it easily shifts, puckers and runs if not handled correctly. Learn how to get stunning results without having to give up the beauty of this great fabric. 2010 Holiday BOM- $25 registration, $1/block (1 block/month wallhanging, 5/month quilt)
Oh Tannenbuam is a fun and easy quilt. Project available in Christmas, Chaunaka or New England colors, your choice. Learn some new piecing techniques with this quilt and still have it done for the holidays.
Sept-Dec 1st Saturday 9:15am
Sewing Basics - $40/2-session class*.
Get back to basics in this class as we'll reintroduce you to the fundamentals of good sewing. From making a clean cut, laying out a pattern, clipping curves, to overcasting and blind hems. This two session class is a great way to start sewing or revisit the basics of good garment and home dec sewing skills. Perfect for everyone.

Heirloom Sewing Dolls Dress - $40/2-session class*.
Heirloom work can be easier than you think, but it does still require an attention to detail. Come work with Diane as you learn how to smock and create great heirloom embellishments. Project: Dolls dress
May 8 & 22, 1-4pm
Quilt Bascis - $60 for 4-session class*
For the new quilter and the experienced quilter looking for a refresher, this one month long program will cover a different quilting/piecing technique each week as you create a four block sampler from the techniques and patterns used to reinforce good quilting practices.
4-weeks, Thursdays 5/13-6/5, 3-5pm
Scrap Therapy- $10/therapy session*
A new monthly sewing experience. The cutting clinic will help your attach your stash. Learn how to create manageable stacks of fabrics duringthe cutting clinic. We'll cut, sort and organize our scraps for use in future projects. Then every month we'll have a new project, and a hands-on workshop, for you to use up your scraps. Each
project/class will include a demo/lecture on the tools and techniques used in the pattern to help you jump-start your project. You will have the option to choose from a small project or a quilt each session. Join us for the year and watch your scraps disappear!
Scrap Therapy (3rd Saturday of the month) 1-4pm
Pocketbook Class- $35 for 2-sessions*
Sidney has made another new bag for you to learn. This time you'll use grommets to create a great oversized (also available in regular size) bag that can be used as a purse or a backpack for carrying all of your summertime needs.

Embroidered Scene- A new embroidered scene quilt class is coming from Anita Gooddesign, watch here for more details. A beautiful New England Covered Bridge.
